In other news, the AI bubble is beginning to pop! I'm not bearish on a fast turnaround, but I cannot wait for our expectations to be proven so out of touch with what is actually being built. I just hope my next graphics card is affordable... and that I don't lose my job... and that I can feed my family in the depression....
It's funny that we're finally wrangling with sin nature when the demise of our species is on the table. (It's almost like those apocalyptic religions were onto something.) Thiel is the worst at this. He's like a first year MDiv who isn't cut out for ministry but it's our cross to bear as he will graduate anyway and spew nonsense wherever he goes.
I also appreciate the utility premise, this is exactly right, until we get our anthropology locked in, we're just fumbling in materialism until a new season of whatever distracts us.

These people are out of their minds. They have completely lost whatever humanity they had. I'm glad I'm old enough that I will miss most of this.
