August killed it. As a fellow dumbphone user, I couldn't agree more.

Philosophers can be so tiresome, calling out category errors when it's simply a synonym in lay language was a waste of 20 minutes. Trusty/Reliable, AI tools, and the companies that make them, are not.

Loved the graduation from:

"Is the technology trustworthy?" (It's not, read ANY sci-fi or the Orange Catholic Bible)

Then moving to:

"Are the companies trustworthy?" (They're not because their motivations are limited to profit and the words - human flourishing - have no meaning in Silicon Valley)

Then having it click that the goal of all of this tech is to 'buy us time' so we can feel infinite in finite bodies in the real world!

Humanity is a spoiled form of its aspirations. Spoiled people making rotten tech with myopic motivations has created the very things every high schooler used to read about from Orwell to Huxley.
