I love WoC and in principle like the inclusion of viewpoints across the faith spectrum. But I have a hard time with convos like this. The major world faiths seem to me transparently all but certainly castles built on the sand of desert tribal fairy tales from 4k years ago +/-. (Note I make no broader claims about the existence or shape of anything we might call supernatural. I'm just a human on a little blue dot. I only feel that God as big man who acts just like a vindictive tribal leader from the time the stories were invented is almost surely a fairy tale.)
So then discussions like these feel like posthoc rationalizations in the modern world to allow folks to fall it's still legitimate to talk in a forum dedicated to political economy and political philosophy about old fairy tales. I get there's some irreconcilable differences at the core here. But am I missing something or is this just a separate conversation for the faithful?
