Pro-Palestinian protestors can detest the Israeli government while resisting the temptation to justify violence in the pursuit of justice.
Unfortunately for many of us in the States this is a wakeup call. Camus has the right of it, thank you for sharing this.
Not only can the pro-Palestinian protestors detest the Netanyahu government while resisting the temptation to justify violence in the pursuit of justice. They can also detest and protest against the Hamas government. Hamas is ISIS and is almost as content killing Palestinians as they are killing Jews.
Free Palestine from ethnic cleansing colonization and genocide by any means necessary. Palestine should not have to pay the price for Germany and Europes crimes! Israel should have been carved out of Germany. The US UK and Germany are actively supporting and enabling genocide
I condemn Hamas’ attack in the strongest possible terms,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement. “No child and family should ever endure this kind of violence and fear, and this violence will not solve the ongoing oppression and occupation in the region. An immediate ceasefire and de-escalation is urgently needed to save lives.”
Great comments. It’s actually fully explains your entire essay. Nothing else needs to be said. For the righteous have spoken. There is no other viewpoint for them.
For context, The New York Democratic Socialists of America is the largest chapter of the national organization, but it did not appear to organize the rally. No leading DSA members were seen in attendance.
I am keen to hear your perspective on how an apartheid state can engender anything other than violence.
Love this. The only bad thing about it was that it came too late for me to use in the seminar I run on Camus!
@elisabethzerofsky - the Camus/Sartre analogy is very accurate; thank you for raising this.
I would, however, point out that your prose is quite difficult to read. While your English lexicon is impressive, your syntax and punctuation have room for improvement.
My life is going to be a whole lot better once I completely unsubscribe and never read anything else from Wisdom of Crowds.
